Charity Rally
Dear All
Some info for your all with regards to the charity event we are holding.
The charity we are supporting is Friends of PICU, this charity was set up in 2005, by a Paediatric Nurse, called Rosie Mitchell. Her sole goal is to help raise money to provide vital services into the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton General Hospital.
Rosie, was actually recognised for her lifetimes’ work back in 2016, by ITV and they sent Alan Titchmarsh round to re-shape her garden; as she never has got round to gardening!!!!!
Here is a link to the ITV Episode. I would recommend taking a look at the programme as it really gets to the detail regarding the sorts of work which PICU do……
But be prepared, some of you may want to have a box of Kleenex next to you…….
I’m know that everyone who watches, even a section of this video will agree, that this is a truly wonderful charity. There are many members of our centre who have personally benefited from the great work which the Paediatric Teams do.
We are asking everyone to ‘dig deep’ and please be generous with as much as you can afford for the weekend.
Don’t worry though, there will be some, who won’t have enough cash to bid at the charity auction, so the winning bidders of any prizes will be allowed to pay via: Cash, Cheque and also Bank Transfer (details will be on handed out on the Saturday evening).
Please see the below links for some more information regarding some of the events taking place over the weekend:
Please come prepared with your best costume for the Adults and Children’s fancy dress competition.
Look forward to seeing you on the rally and raising funds for this fantastic charity.
