Rally Guidance

Rally Guidance

Dear Members

Since March 2020 we have all been living in an extreme situation where our freedom has been taken away from us and rallying has been on and off.
The committee decided that rallying with the West Hampshire Centre would recommence not before the 17th May 2021 well that date has passed and it’s great to say ” WE ARE BACK”.

The Committee and Rally Officers for Chideock,Brocklands Farm and Exbury Gardens are all looking forward to welcoming those booked on to their rallies.
These three rallies have been named as they are before the 21st June 2021 when hopefully all restrictions have been lifted and rallying can return to some type of normality.
When you pay for these three rallies you are agreeing to comply with the CAMC COVID SECURE GUIDANCE (not the  West Hampshire Centre’s but CAMC HQ).

So please all enjoy your holiday and rallies safely and  stick to the guidance, please don’t put the Rally Officers in an awkward position they are not COVID POLICE they are volunteers who give up their time freely for all of our benefit.

There are just a few highlights / reminders :

If you have organised visitors to the site please cancel them as they are NOT permitted on the rally field and will be turned away, remember your own hand sanitiser (one station will be on the field) your disposable gloves, face masks if you wish to wear them.
There will be a QR code for the Rallies for you to scan.
Keep to a Social Distance where possible, 2 metres at the water taps and elsan points, please no large gatherings lets play it safe and keep it to a minimum.

Please remember every single person has had their own way and reasons of dealing with this situation so please give each other space and show the same courtesy on the rally field.

It’s not the first time we’ve come out of a Lockdown, what the Centre had in place last time worked well so lets start rallying in 2021 safely and enjoy the rest of the season.

Thank you for your understanding in this situation.

Sad Passing of Roy Brierley – Update

Sad Passing of Roy Brierley – Update

Stephen, Polly and Pat have requested that members do not attend the funeral, but to think of them at 10am on Tuesday 25 May. Although they would love to see everyone and know restrictions have been lifted, they are aware that COVID is still very much around and it would seem sensible to restrict numbers. They hope everyone will understand.  However, that said if you feel you would like to attend and want to bring flowers, please bring 1 x artificial flower as Pat would like to keep this. Caravanning and rallying was so important to Roy.

Our thoughts will be with the family on Tuesday.

Sad Passing of Roy Brierley

Dear members

West Hampshire Centre Committee have been informed of the sad passing of Roy Brierley.   We don’t have any further information only that this sadness happened Sunday morning.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Pat who rallied with the centre on numerous occasions.  Our condolences are also sent to Steve and his family.
