FOCUS ON WEST HAMPSHIRE CARAVAN AND MOTORHOME CLUB CENTRE – February 2018

 

  • The Committee met on 19th All present except PLM, NB who sent their apologies.
  • Committee decided that following a successful and well attended ROOF in January, answers to some of discussions would be produced and displayed on “Rally Officer”Pages on WH website.
  • Helen is to oversee the Nominal role for all Rally Officers and ensure adequate insurance cover will be in place for those due to run rallies within the season. Please ensure you are registered with the centre.
  • Jennie produced a predicted budget for centre costings for period 2018-19 and following this an agreement given to reintroduce online payment facility for those rallies requiring advance payment, and of those rally officers who have indicated to accept this method of payment as an option. It will be important that consider is given to paying the landowner prior.   
  • Brodie expressed the need to repair and replace some Kit and equipment and gave specific thanks to Pauline Cane and his mother Nicky Hopkins for their support with the repairs of centre flags.
  • Brodie will be gaining quotes and ordering new signs to replace damaged stock.  
  • Mike had attended the recent WESSEX planning meeting and informed that events are well under way for planning what is promising to be an exciting weekend. With professional entertainment booked, and gifts to commemorate this event.   Booking forms are now available on the Wessex website.   We are looking for event managers and willing volunteers to participate in the team and sporting events.
  • Nick informed that he is currently working on and compiling the programme for rallies 2019 and has requested for anyone interested in running a rally, to speak to him or a committee member, as we would like to hear from you.
  • Jennie is fast approaching time when she will be considering some well-earned maternity leave and the committee, have set up support to cover the treasurer role to enable her and Pete to spend some time as a family. The committee extend their warm wishes to Jen, Pete and Madison.
  • Shaun announced that the Youth Section rally had been a great success and that the youngsters have many ideas waiting to surprise those attending their forthcoming events. They worked hard and have achieved a total for their chosen charity of £145.00 so far, which has been achieved in various ways including some delicious cakes being sold.
  • I look forward to seeing you on the rally field soon.
