Youth Section 2024 – 2025

Hello, my name is Ethan and I am the newly elected Chairman of the Youth Section. I am excited to take on the challenge and really looking forward to a great year with my fantastic Youth Section Team.

A little bit about me, I am 15 years old and have been rallying pretty much since I was about two years old. My grandparents, Bernie & Ailsa Winstanley, used to take me with them when they were looking after me whilst Mum and Dad were working. My parents, Steve and Michelle, joined West Hants when I was about 4 years old and we have enjoyed many years rallying with the fantastic people who make it happen. I have a younger sister, Ella, whom you may have already met as she has joined us rallying since she was just a few weeks old!

I am currently in year 11 at school and will sit my GCSE’s in June 2025. You may have seen some of my fundraising flyers if you have been on recent rallies, as I am raising funds for an orphanage in Malawi, FOMO(Friends of Mulanje Orphans). The funds will enable me to visit the orphanage after my GCSE’s to help with any rebuilding of the school and helping to teach English to the children there.

We are planning to hold 2 Youth Section Rallies in the coming year, once again at Little Metlands and Awbridge, where we hope to raise lots of money for our chosen charities.

This year, we have decided to support Naomi house and Jack’s Place as it is such a fantastic charity. The team also very kindly want to support FOMO and the work they do in Malawi.
